TECHFIRE is a fire support information system for mortars and artillery howitzers that automates and accelerates all the tasks related to the direct or indirect fire, in a single gun or in aunit, allowing increased precision and control over supporting fire processes.

Improves precision and provides different ballistic solutions for mortar and artillery units. It is compatible with all available communications systems, data management systems and laser rangefinders.

Through its interactive, user-friendly graphical user interface, is a system which enables operators to deal with all kinds of fire control process data. The system offers a wide range of applications that allows users to exchange a great variety of operational information and orders.

Its GIS visual interface, is useful to

Electronic Aiming Solution for Mortar Systems

eCOMPAX is an electronic aiming device to provide firing aiming data (orientation and elevation) to mortars.

The device is anchored to the mortar with a NATO standard mounting dovetail and combines technologies of inertial sensors with optical image tracking, resulting in a robust and reliable 3DOF orientation. Similar in size and weight to a standard sight unit.

eCOMPAX combines technologies of inertial sensors with optical image tracking, resulting in a robust and reliable 3DOF orientation.

The software helps the mortar operator to aim the mortar, advising on turning the elevation and orientation cranks, regardless the use of the levelling crank. Moreover, it implements all necessary functionalities to perform aiming, either in a stand alone mode (on its own tablet) or integrated into a FCS computer. In only 30 seconds is ready for firing and reduces the after-firing adjustment in less than 5 seconds. It needs few maintenance operations: only calibration and collimation.

OPERATING PROCESS

  1. North-Finding during the initialization phase (10 second).
  2. Mounting on the bipod of mortar.
  3. Entering target data (keyboard or from FCS).
  4. Using the graphical scheme that represent the bipod elements, the user is guide to adjust the mortar to the correct aiming direction. Four lighting arrows and a bullseye helps the target acquisition. When mortar reach the correct orientation and elevation, a green light inform the operator.

M-COUNTER is an electronic device designed to increase the safety and ease the maintenance tasks of mortar systems, by automatically recording each shot performed by the weapon.

The system records the number, date and time of the shots performed. This information is crucial to adequate the maintenance plan for each mortar through its life cycle.

The device is attached to the mortar at chamber zone without affecting the normal use. Its maintenance is minimum and does not need any battery to perform the count avoiding missing shot counts due to empty battery issues.

All these characteristics makes the M-COUNTER an accurate and trustable solution for the mortar systems logistics.



SOFTWARE MAIN FUNCTIONS

M-COUNTER TEMPERATURE ALARM

M-COUNTER has the possibility to add an external temperature alarm. This gadget will increase the safety of the mortar systems and mortar crew specially with high fire cadences.

The alarm adds a light signal when the tube reaches a temperature that makes it unsafe to fire. The alarm will switch off when the mortar cannon temperature is low enough to fire safely.

This gadget is day visible and it is easily mounted.

SHEPHERD is a UAV which imitates the silhouette of a bird of prey (typically a Goshawk or an Eagle).
