eCOMPAX is an electronic aiming device that provides firing aiming data (orientation and elevation) to mortars. The device is anchored to the mortar with a NATO standard mounting dovetail and combines the technology of inertial sensors with optical image tracking, resulting in a robust and reliable 3DOF orientation.

Similar in size and weight to a standard sight unit, eCOMPAX combines technologies of inertial sensors with optical image tracking, resulting in a robust and reliable 3DOF orientation.

The software helps the mortar operator to aim the mortar while also advising on turning elevation and orientation cranks, regardless of the use of the levelling crank. It implements all necessary functionalities to perform aiming, either in a stand-alone mode (on its own tablet) or integrated into an FCS computer.

In only 30 seconds eCOMPAX is ready for firing and reduces the after-firing adjustment in less than 5 seconds. It requires minimal maintenance operations: just calibration and collimation.

  3. Enter target data (keyboard or from FCS)

M-COUNTER is an electronic device designed to increase safety while reducing the maintenance of mortar systems by automatically recording each shot performed by the weapon. The system records the number and date and time of the shots performed. This information is crucial to adequately create a maintenance plan for each mortar through its life cycle.

The device is attached to the mortar in a chamber zone without affecting its normal use. Its maintenance is minimal and does not require a battery to perform the count. This allows M-COUNTER to eliminate missing shot counts due to empty battery issues.

M-COUNTER TEMPERATURE ALARM

M-COUNTER also has an external temperature alarm which can be added on to the unit. This temperature alarm can increase the safety of the mortar systems and provide enhanced protection for the mortar crew, especially with high fire cadences. The alarm displays a light when the tube reaches a temperature that is unsafe to fire. The alarm switches off when the mortar cannon temperature is low enough to fire safely.
