Avian Control System for Critical Infrastructures

SHEPHERD is a UAV which imitates the silhouette of a bird of prey (typically a Goshawk or an Eagle). Its circling, attack and reconnaissance movements cause the birds to leave the areas where they cause problems. Due to their silhouette, the birds never get used to its presence and they always react in the same way: THEY FLEE.

The innovative technology provides new capabilities beyond a traditional radio-controlled airplane. By mixing the latest advances in the technology of composites and avionics, we offer a system that solves an important worldwide need for a bird strike avoidance system.
